Fishing With Worms
Fishing with worms has been the most popular bait for fishing in Australia and is a favourite sport and hobby for many people. There are several methods of fishing with worms one is to cast up stream in a river and allow the worm to travel downstream with the flow of the water. This is the most productive method as fish cannot see directly behind them and the worm is presented naturally to the fish.
The other method is to just cast your worms in to a deep hole and leave your bale arm open and when the fish takes your worms there is no resistance.
A method used for fishing in lakes with worms is to cast your worms out as far as possible let them sink to the bottom then retrieve as fast as possible for short intervals and open the bale arm on your reel then wait one minute for a strike. A helpful hint to detect a strike is to wax your line all the way to the sinker and this will help you detect any strike as the line will float on the surface of the water.
